Medical Needs in School
At Scargill we undertsand that children may have a variety of medical needs, some short term, others long term. We work with parents, health professionals and children themselves to support any medical needs they may have.
Our staff are experienced in dealing with a number of medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, eczema etc. A high percentage of our staff are also first aid trained, Other members of staff have further training and are paediatric first aiders.
Emergency asthma inhalers are available within school and a consent form for these can be completed and handed to the office.
Individual Health Care Plans can also be updated at any time during the year if there are any changes to the child’s condition or requirements.
It is vital that parents inform school of any medical needs their child may have in order to ensure the school can fully support them.
If you have any concerns around your child's medica needs please speak to a member of the office team and or your child's class teacher who will happily guide you to the next steps.
